What is metal furniture?

It's furniture made of iron, aluminum, copper, and steel, and is used in homes, offices, and businesses. Metal furniture is characterized by its strength, durability, and attractive, modern appearance, especially iron, which is easy to manipulate and combine with other materials, such as:

Wood, marble, ceramic.

What are the types of metal furniture?

aluminum

Aluminum is a strong metal with a rust-resistant appearance due to its soft, matte finish. It's lightweight but oxidizes, leaving a chalky layer that needs to be removed over time. It complements cool colors in decor.

copper

A less common type of metal furniture, it is commonly used in kitchen or bathroom accessories in cool or white colors, as it has a reddish-orange color and is resistant to microbes and corrosion.

iron

Iron is the best metal to use because it is corrosion-resistant and durable. It is used in the manufacture of fireplace accessories, furniture, decorations, and lighting fixtures. Metal furniture is best suited to neutral colors or white.

Advantages of iron furniture

  • Metal furniture is resistant to excessive exposure to artificial or natural light and can withstand various temperatures, whether very high or low.
  • It can hold a lot of heavy weight without breaking or getting damaged.
  • Outperforms plastic, wood or melamine in resistance.
  • Metal furniture can have a lifespan of more than 20 years under ideal conditions.
  • Requires minimal maintenance effort, for easy cleaning and daily care.
  • Highly resistant to potential damage caused by use, such as scratches, dents, or peeling edges compared to other materials.
  • Metal furniture has the added advantage that in the event of a fire - God forbid - it provides fire-resistant protection.
  • It is a timeless fashion that can be easily coordinated with various styles and interiors.

How to clean metal furniture?

When cleaning metal furniture, use a piece of coarse cotton wool and pass it over all the internal and external metal parts, to ensure that any rusty or dirty areas are cleaned.

In a bowl, add warm water, then pour the cleaning powder and repeat the wiping process, but this step is done using a sponge.

Finally, rinse with lukewarm water and dry thoroughly. You can also add a metal-based paint to the furniture, which provides additional protection and a longer lifespan.
